About the host

I grew up in the beautiful town of Seyðisfjörður in the east cost of Iceland, a town well known for it's lively art scene and creative energy.

I have been active in the music scene since young age, playing the drums and percussion as well as operating as a DJ. If you are yet to go to a nightclub in Iceland, chances are I will be the one saving your life on the dancefloor.

"A fantastic way to spend an afternoon"

"We have been to Reykjavik 5 times in the last 5 years so we had a chance to experience both the culinary and the culture scene. Ívar showed us and told us stories about Reykjavik that only a local could know. We tasted fabulously foods and drinks, talked to people who created them and walked the back streets while listening to fascinating recounts of the city's and country's unique past and present. We also heard about Icelandic musicians and composers that we can't wait to explore. What better way to get up close and personal with Reykjavik?!"

"Perfect way to explore Reykjavik and feel local and welcome"
