About the Reykjavik Museum, Food and Drink Walking Tour
The best way to see our tiny capital is by foot. Follow your own happy Icelander who loves to show you around and introduce you to local delicacies! This is a unique and new experience available in Iceland. Your guides are local food lovers who want to give people the chance to exploring Reykjavík in a fun and exciting way while discovering Icelandic food and drink.
We´ll take you to places loved by locals. Everything from the magnificent Hallgrímskirkja church to a hipster-type bakery where you´ll get to know and taste the Icelandic pastry “snúður”. The locals know all the best places and masterfully mix them with the traditional (but unmissable) attractions. This is a why it’s best to take a walking tour with a local.
From our meeting point we make our way to the city center. The second stop is Hallgrímskirkja church, the largest church in Reykjavík and one of the tallest buildings in the low rise city. As we walk around the city center we make a few stops at local shops and bakeries. At the last location, you might be in for a fun little surprise!
The main stops on the tour are Perlan, The Penis Museum, Braud og Co, Hallgrímskirkja, Ostabúdin, 66 North and Kopar.
Discover Icelandic delicacies in a fun way, have a taste of beer, cheese, meat and fish. You will have plenty of opportunities to chat with the guide or ask questions. We would love to welcome you!
