Reykjavik city Tour, walk with a viking

About The Reykjavik City Tour

The Reykjavik City Tour is your introduction to the city of Reykjavik. It will help you get your bearings and make the most of your stay in Iceland. We recommend it as your first stop in Reykjavik (well, maybe check into your accommodation and drop your bags off first).

I will give you a crash course in everything Icelandic while I make sure you have the best time in Reykjavik. We want you to feel the unique, friendly atmosphere of our quirky little city, not just to see the most popular tourist attractions.

Our family friendly Reykjavik City Tour brings the history of Iceland to life with interesting stories and Icelandic mythology. We’ll visit all of the famous landmarks in the city center. You will discover the old reykjavik city center, check out the oldest house in the reykjavik city center (1762), the oldest graveyard in reykjavik, the viking house of the first settler in Iceland, visit an elf home and peek into Icelandic mythology, the reykjavik harbor, Harpa Concert Hall, Arnarhóll, the hill where Icelanders celebrate on special occasions, Laugavegur the main shopping street, Hallgrímskirkja church, the Reykjavik pond, the Reykjavik City Council building, Althingi the parliament house, Austurvöllur, where we protest and enjoy the sun when she shows herself!

We’ll also share hidden local spots with you, showing you our favorite places to eat, drink and visit (we also have an intimate knowledge of happy hour deals that we’re happy to share). We’ll even have a small lesson on Icelandic language so you can not only walk with a Viking, but talk like one too.

The tour lasts approximately two hours and we’ll walk around 4km, meaning you’ll have earned a tasty Icelandic beer afterwards.

We never have more than 12 people in a group which means that we can answer all of your questions and get to know each other a bit.

Let us show you the best of our city and to teach you about our country through interesting stories. We want you to enjoy Icelandic hospitality at its finest, but most importantly, we want you to have fun. We can’t wait to show you around!
