About The Art of Tartlets Baking Class Reykjavik
This is a hands-on baking class in making tartlets, an essential introduction to the art of creating delicious tartlets that you can replicate in your own kitchen. You will learn about the ingredients and how to choose the best ones for exquisite fillings, how to create tart crusts with the perfect texture. And of course, you will learn how to give your tartlets a professional finish.
We will meet to make and bake tartlets from scratch at the comfort of my home. At first, I will do a short presentation of what we will do, show you the ingredients and explain the steps for making your tartlets. You will follow my steps and during the class I will show you a few useful tricks to make perfect shells and perfect fillings.
Everyone will create and bake four tartlets and in two kinds. One with vanilla filling, fruit and apricot glazing and, the second one, with lemon curd and Italian meringue. I will lead you through the recipes but you will do most of work on your own. We will have a tasting time with a good cup of coffee or tea. And of corse you get to bring home what you’ve created in class!
We will have a wonderful time making tartlets, drinking tea and chatting. I am sure we will have fun and you will learn a lot! You will become a tartlets expert!! I will also give you some recommendations about places to see and visit so you could add them to your to do list for your visit to Iceland.
I look forward to welcome you to my home to spend a fun baking and chatting time with a local :)
