Letterpress workshop
About The Letterpress Workshop
Here, in our studio, we design and print all kinds of wonderful goods and we would like to invite you to experience this with us. We will tell you the basics of the letterpress printing technique; we will go over each of the steps involved in the process, set up the parts of the press, and talk about its uniqueness and the artistic opportunities it offers.
You will have your own creative moment. You will design your own original postcards with the patterns, clichés and movable types-letters which you will choose from the ones available in the studio. All postcards are made with this technique, in a truly tactile experience.
Letterpress printing was and still is a craft passed on from printer to apprentice. Whether you want to satisfy your letterpress curiosity or to explore a new environment for your designs, we will make sure that this experience adds a new layer to your life and hopefully open up new dimensions for you to discover.

Reviews
"Printing In It's Best Form"
"This workshop is great! I've been a graphic designer for over 5 years and have always wanted to try the art of letterpress prints on my own. This workshop makes that happen! Our instructors were friendly, informational and inspiring.
You don't have to be an artist or a designer to enjoy this workshop either. This was a big highlight on our trip and my wife and I highly recommend it on to other people that like to get creative."
"Creating in Iceland"
"We had an absolutely wonderful time working and creating with Hildur and Olof! They are incredibly welcoming, passionate about their craft, and amazing teachers. They went above and beyond to make our experience special and we left feeling like a part of their family. We highly recommend this course to anyone who travels to Iceland!"
*****
"The kids did the "Letterpress" and LOVED LOVED it. Creative Iceland was super communicative about availability etc. and made the booking process very pleasant. Nicolas went out of his way to sign us up for the workshop & patiently worked with us to secure a spot. We were the only three out there which made it even more special. Also, we had a billing issue to iron out and Creative Iceland was very receptive to our feedback and made sure that the issue was resolved to our full satisfaction. Overall, highly recommend this company if you want to get away from touristy places and take a few hours to meet local artists and learn from them. Amazing experience! TIP: Combine the chocolate factory tour (Highly recommend) and letterpress. They are 5 minutes apart on the same road and will make it worth your walk down the harbor. Get some great ice cream at Valdis on your way back!"
