Hello!
Welcome to a fun and intimate cultural experience where I tell stories and perform folk songs and my own compositions on guitar, accompanied by jazzy vocals. I open up the space for questions you might have about Iceland, its people, culture and all in between.
After 7 years of tour guiding, I enjoy taking guests on a journey connecting music and my own life to the Icelandic history, its stories about ghosts, elves and the peculiar local traditions.
Apart from being a third generation tour guide (my grandmother and my mother before me), I have worked full time as a musician since 2017 finishing my BA in Music Composition with my final project where I wrote a song every day for a year, and have competed in the 2022 Icelandic pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The experience can be hosted at my house, your hotel or requested location.
The combination of music and story telling has given me the opportunity to play more than 100 concerts each year both in Iceland and online. As the concerts are interactive no experience is the same and I am exited to meet you and create a unique musical evening!

About the host
I'm a musician and student at the music department of the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik. Apart from my composition work I have been a tour guide for several years and I’m now working full time telling folk stories and playing folk music to visitors in my home country.

Language
If your child or someone traveling with you does not speak English well, it is good to know that a big part of the experience is the storytelling and conversation around the music. If English is not well understood it can be difficult to follow the dynamics of the activity.

The experience can be hosted at my house, your hotel or requested location in Reykjavík. It is possible to request a private concert in hotels or other accommodation in the Reykjanes peninsula (Blue Lagoon) or along the South Cost as far as Hvolsvöllur (Lava Centre) with an additional travel fee.
