About The Creative Cluster Visit Experience
Visit a creative cluster of designers, craftsmen and creative people in the lovely harbor town of Hafnarfjörður. An old former fishing plant and freezing house has become a fascinating hub of creativity in varied fields of design and product making.
This dynamic and innovating environment was built on the idea of creating a community of people and small businesses working in open spaces to enhance communication and collaboration between creative fields.
In all, there are twenty-eight workspaces on two floors. The upper floor hosts twelve ceramic designers, painters, and a book artist. The ground floor consists of seven textile designers, a shoemaker, wooden boat builder, a knife maker and several product designers.
Our visitors get a feeling of this creative and energetic atmosphere and the lovely former fish factory is in itself a little bit of a magical place. It is such an ideal location for this melting pot of creativity.
Whether you are an artist, craft person, a designer, maker, thinker, student or none of the above, we promise you will experience our vibrant community, get inspired, develop new ideas and gain a completely new perspective into your designs and your life in general!

About the hosts
Hi, we are an anthropologist and a boat-builder. We founded this unique creative cluster on July 1st, 2014. We transformed an old and charming former fish factory and freezing plant into a dynamic and creative space.
