About the Reykjavik Street Photography Tour

This is a walking photo tour that focuses on urban landscape, street photography and some street art that we would find along the way. I will take you through the streets of Reykjavik to capture its charm, the people, places, the old town discovering Reykjavik’s very essence.

I help you develop a ‘street photographer’s eye’ and guide you to spot a photo opportunity in an everyday street scene. Reykjavik city has it all, wonderful architecture, hidden street scenes and plenty of ‘characters’.

Some of the places we will visit include Harpa Concert Hall, Sun Voyager sculpture - Sólfar, Hallgrímskirkja, the old Reykjavik town, the cemetery. Also, we will make a stop at one of the most interesting photography shops in downtown where we will chat with its owner. He will tell us about old photographs and cameras and listen to a couple of stories.

If you are joining on a weekend day we will add a stop at the Kolaportid flea market located in the old harbor area of Reykjavik. Kolaportid is an ideal place to watch Icelanders in their natural habitat.

Whether you are coming in winter or summer Reykjavik city will always give you a new perspective to shoot, ever-changing light, playful settings and characters that only the city of Reykjavik can provide.
